Are we going to get a down sized ripper this year or are we going to have to wait till next year. I would like see a 2.5” , 1.5”.
-
Ide like 1 in the 2 3/4 to 3" range with just a little less bulk to it. And yes a 1.5" crappie version would be great.
-
Mike the 3” is a real walleye white bass killer. And a smaller one for crappies and other panfish.

Make it in the ES mold line with multiple cavities!

I've had a prototype 2.5" ripper in my mitts and its a nice bait, but they are still doing some development on it. A 1.5" would put me just short of heaven. The smaller baits get the harder it is to get the fine details down pat and actions become tough to get just right and still maintain the strength integrity of the baits where they get thin. It all takes time....and patience.

I have the 3” cnc ripper as well as the 3.5 es ripper and plan on getting the 3” es ripper as soon as it is available (saw the icast 2018 post elsewhere on the forums, super excited about that one). I absolutely love the action of the rippers, but for a lot of the fishing I do a 2.5 to 2.75” bait with a bit less bulk gets a lot more bites and doesn’t miss on many big fish either.
Is there any update on the 2.5” ripper? I would buy a couple of them (assuming they are 1 cavity) as soon as they are available!

Nothing as yet. I know the small version is still on the plate so wait, wait, wait is the word.

I’ve got more fish on 3.500” and smaller. Hope the small is a multi cavity mol like the 3”.
