I've been playing with plastics for several years now, but decided to start pouring lead as well. I just got my melting pot on Monday so I'm pretty new to it, but these are some of my first spinnerbaits.
Here is a small bluegill colored spinnerbait.

I think this one will be good on gloomy days.

I thought I'd try a triple blade model too. It's supposed to be a perch imitation, though I need to work on my powder painting. Going to keep practicing with makeup brushes before I take the plunge into buying an air brush.

Here is another perchy model.

I also took a stab at a bladed swim jig using the Utra Minnow mold. I saw where someone did this on the forum and figured it was worth a shot.(http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k142/aladar52/bladed%20jig.jpg)

I think you'll kill them this spring with those offerings. You're off to a great beginning. Nice work.

Thanks! I have a specific lake in mind that's full of little bluegill and perch as well as some sizable bass. I'm hoping I got the colors right to trick them into thinking the baits are their favorite forage.

I'm pretty sure that most of those will fool them.

Nice job those are very nice too

Ma' is dat "Fry Chaser"?

Them will get the job done.

Some more nice work. I really like that bottom blue color your using on the lead. Looks like a robin egg blue. Are you powder painting that ? If so what color is that ? I like how it tones it down from a white but is not to glossy. You got a good combo there.
-
Yes it's the robins egg blue. Sometimes I blend a little powder blue in too. I'm still learning the art of flicking the brush. I've spent a bunch already so I kind of want to wait on an air brush.

Now that you mention it that chatterbait does look a bit like that color. I was just playing with tabs and thought it looked gilly 😊

Well done!!!!!!

Thanks! That means a lot seeing as you're kind of the spinnerbait master around here from what I've seen :)

Here are some new color combos I'm really digging.

Thanks! Now I just need the warm weather we're having here to melt off the ice. It's so close and I can't wait :)

Very good choice to start with. The finish I go with powder paint, it is easier.
