Do-it has a designated gallery forum to host/store registered users pictures. I don't know how much bandwidth or web space Do-It is paying for but I assume it's plenty. Do-It making a user upload to one forum and then link to another makes for an uncomfortable user experience that they seek a 3rd party service.

I don't blame you Tom. It's not worth spending $ to use their site.  I'll have to check mine I used them a few times too.

Hello,

We have enabled attachments for post so images can be attached to the post by clicking on the Attachments and other options shown at the bottom when your making a post.

There are some size restrictions currently and a limit for the number of images that can be added to one post. These may be adjusted in the future but we have to start somewhere.

The images will be restricted to jpg only for now which is what most cameras produce.

When an image is attached it will automatically show at the bottom of the post.

If you want to you can place the image in the post in a specific position by using the following codes:

attachment => Show full expanded picture
attach => Show thumbnail, expandable to full picture
attachthumb => Show thumbnail ONLY, not expandable
attachmini => Show thumbnail, expandable to full picture

Note: You will not be able to preview the images. If you preview the post it will show an error where the image will show. Once the message is posted and the file is uploaded to the server it will show up.

Samples:
"When putting the attachment in do not use the nobbc."
Code: [Select]

The below image is my first attachment
[nobbc][attachment id=1][/nobbc]

This is my second attachment showing a thumbnail that is clickable
[nobbc][attach id=2][/nobbc]

The above produces:

The below image is my first attachment

This is my second attachment showing a thumbnail that is clickable

The third attachment I have not told it where to put it so it defaults to the bottom.

This is great. Think I got this figured out now. Thanks for working on this and making it possible to post pics like this. It's much appreciated.

I just noticed you can't view the photos posted this way unless you are logged in.  Not a big deal if you are a member, but kind of a bummer for non members. More reason to join I guess.
