Iowa Great Lakes

Took a trip up to the Iowa Great Lakes region last weekend and got on a great multi-species bite.  Saturday we caught 6 different species including a muskie - That was a first for me through the ice.  I had a couple of sucker sets spread out on the breaks and our snare rods and I Fish Pro's were pretty active in the mornings and evenings with bass and pike.  Sunday we dialed in on a really great crappie bite.  A UV Wax Wiggler and tungsten jig was the MVP combo.  One of the great things about the Iowa Great Lakes is you never know what you might catch.  Ice was over 30" thick which made driving a vehicle right to a spot nice and we stayed warm in the shacks with heaters while mother nature dumped 6" of snow on Saturday and blew 25mph on Sunday.

 Ya know so far I only see her with fish. I'm thinking she is the one that puts the smack down on the fish and no one else. I need a partner. Does she tournament fish ?

Something is not right here for sure. She has the coat on IN the shelter and no coat out on open ice. lol

Sounds like a fruitful trip for you guys. We're getting more grass showing here now so hopefully this white garbage will be gone soon and I can get to fishing water.

Ma' Yawl can have all dis Brown Water back.  All dat snow is coming down the pipe and here it is.  It's got a bit of inland saltwater high and dirty (like Young BKJ), and I'm about to get with Boss Man Trump and get it sent back to de Nart where it came from.
It's for irrigating crops so don't take it personal.

She's had some sort of big fish tracker beam following her lately.  Why do you think I keep bringing her? She'd love to fish a tournament with you Lamar; Just don't get upset when she hops up on the bow mount and starts telling you where to cast
