Partycrasher string glitter
« on: 03/14/18 13:19 UTC »
I spent some time this morning shooting some stinger tail stock only to find out that about half of the strings had some minor flashing on the tail's ends from a bad clamp. I sorted thru the strings and pulled the bad ones and those that don't matter [these are for my own baits] I whipped up some clear and dosed it with Party Crasher string glitter. I'm really liking the stuff. This string of baits came from a 4 ounce batch with about 1/4 tsp of the glitter. I added the glitter after the plastic was fully cooked. It seems to flash in every color under the sun. The stuff is unreal. I'm going to toss a shot in some color maybe this afternoon later.

I tried it in a transparent purple but the purple sort of sucked up the flash of the glitter so while I had things out anyway....I thought I'd see how the color shifting pearls took to purple. All of these color shifters are a purple based pigment. While they don't appear very purple in the picture they smack of it big time when seen in different and varying types of light.

The purple plastic is 4 ounces of plastic, a smidge of uv enhancer, 1 drop each of X2 Florida Grape and X2 Midnight Blue plus 3 drops of X2 purple.

It's just glitter that is cut longer than it is wide. This particular glitter measures .004" X .035", much finer than most string glitters.
