Soft Plastic Bait Making > Photo Gallery
Back to the small fry
MADA:
I was sitting and wondering what if...
My head works that way.
I was thinking of how to use the polyester and mica powder without having to clear dip.
So i first ecored some and cut of the tails.
Then i took some smaller dia core and smeared the inside and brushed the tail section of the mold with some powder and shot the plastic.
It's hard to see but the black tails really have that purplish shine to them.
The pink is just polyester done the same way.
MADA:
Sorry abouth that post.
Much of the mica will come of if you rubb hard.
The polyester is not so prone to it so i going to try some mica mixed with mica and see if that sticks better.

It's cool. Always nice to see what didn't work along with what did work. Looks good anyhow.

I agree. It’s nice to hear what doesn’t work. And if I have learned anything from reading on here, someone will figure it out. By the way those baits look real good.

Reading my own post:... mica mixed with mica
Mica mixed with powder paint is what it should be..
Well i tried that but the result was not all that nice looking.
I did make some plastic coloured with black mica and purple flip mica that gave some shine but not nearly as good as when brushed on.
