Here's a few pictures from my trip. I think this was the best year I've had up there for numbers. Not many big ones but one day my wife counted and she said we had 83 walleye total and that was about what we did everyday. Most were between 15 and 20 inches. We had shore lunch everyday and for my birthday we had fish tacos so that was kind of different but nice.

A few more. The top picture is one of four water falls we fish and the bottom one is our view on our way home one night. That's about as good as it gets.

If there's anything Canada is short on its definitely not the Labatts blue and scenery.

Awesome! I have a lot of good memories as a kid in the Sioux Lookout area.  Blues and fish tacos.  Doesn't get any better than that.

We made the salsa. Bought a whole pineapple. onion, green pepper and cilantro. It was killer. So now get this. We had a lot of pineapple left over so we just cubed it and put it in a bowl in the fridge figured it would be a good snack. The one morning I was fixing breakfast and we had bought some sausage links so I cooked them up with the cubes of pineapple in them. It was so sweet and so good we did it two mornings in a row. If you've never tried that then trust me. You'll do it more often.

We buy 14 beers. A beer each for shore lunch for 7 days. It's the best beer you'll ever drink

LaBatts is good stuff! I have had a few LaBatts while taking in a hockey game.

Beautiful scenery there as well. I hope you to visit someday

As far as the lures go. The copper colored spinnerbait buy far caught the most pike. It just looked more like a baby walleye and the wife used a perch color jig the whole week and I used a pink one. Both did well. We did find we liked the 1/2 oz weight the best. It kept it straight up and down with no bow in the line. Used 20 pound power pro braid with 15 feet of 8 pound Seaguar fluorocarbon line. I tie the two together with the Alberto knot. If you don't know that knot then YouTube it's a great knot. With this combo you can feel every little bite. Very important when the bite is lite.
