Hard Tail
« on: 10/14/18 15:46 UTC »

As usual words are better than 1000 words.

I simply added to my Pin Tail Soft Bait a little tail shaped from a fiberglass sheet. After the soft bait tail is passed through the hole of fiberglass tail, I melt the soft edge with a Chef Torch to fix the fiberglass tail in position.

It is not exactly an idea of mine, but it comes from Imakatsu that shows here his prototype:

Soft bait swimming is exactly as showed ... it wags its tail :D

Ciao.

  I think you meant a picture means more than a 1000 words.
  So what advantage do you feel that you're getting from this ? That the tail won't pull apart as easy ?

:D ... yes, of course I meant that pictures say more than 1000 words.
Talking about advantages, I try to list some of them:
    1st - in such way I am able to attach a paddle tail to my soft bait pin tail and change its swimming;
    2nd - it could be a replacement system when you loose the paddle tail;
    3rd - making a comparison between the swimming of same tail, with exactly same shape, in plastisol and in fiberglass sheet, the second one is more strict, more frantic and it is easier to move at slow retrieve.
    Bye.

  Got ya. I thought your bait was poured with the paddle tail already on there.

clear PETg plastic sheet 0.5mm - 1.0 mm from ebay
a pick puncher or round puncher and a 4-5 mm  hole puncher and you got a tail.
