Nice looking amphibians bud! Sort of cold for frogs isn't it? Or are you getting ready for May in March since we are having January in November?

Truth is I was trying to figure out how to post pictures again. Thanks to you Tom I did figure it out. These are some that will go into Christmas presents that I hand out to kids, customers and old fishing buddies. I put them in small storage boxes and label them Wee Baits. It's fun to do and sure to bring a smile or two.

Very nice!

Fishing frogs on the bottom in late fall (when they go down to hibernate) can catch you some big bass and walleyes!

Nice natural color pattern on those frogs.
Andy...what's your favorite frog and rigging set up for that?  I've really only used frogs as surface baits.

Lamar...what color is the bottom of the frogs?  I like that better than white.

I rig them with the same hooks I use for the surface with a 3/8 to 1 ounce bullet weight with a bobber stopper to peg the weight. Just like a flipping bait. My theory is that they look like frogs trying to bury into the bottom.

I wonder if big creature baits represent the same food source and that is why they are so effective in the fall?

I had some orange and yellow plastic that I was using to make tails for the ripper. I just cut some of each up and mixed them together. I normally make it in 2X sweet potato. But I kind of like this too.
The top is my go to color for bass fishing. CC Green with purple flake.

I like that...more realistic than a bright white.

These frogs I'm giving away. I know I've said this on here before but the color frogs I fish are in this order. Black, white and pink and never with eyes. I think if you where fishing open water and I never do with a frog then these might work better. Normally I fish pads and heavy matted weeds with a frog and then I feel the bass can zone in on a solid non camouflage color better. Plus I can see the frog better to know weather the bass got it or missed it on the blow up. The hardest part of frog fishing is knowing when to set the hook. So I fish it with my pole straight up in the air. That way I have to lower the pole, see the bait is gone and then set the hook. It works for me.
