I just bought the Bullet and Banana jig molds and all the wires, hooks etc and I made up a few of the small 1/8 oz bullet spinnerbaits.
If I'm reeling them in fast they spin side-wards. (they are perfect at a slow/medium speed) Do I:
Need to use a bigger blade
Cut the top leg wire shorter (I'm trying to line it up so that the swivel attaches right at the head of the bait so the blade then is at the back of the hook.)
Keep the top leg longer.
or... always use a trailer of some sort which acts like a rudder.
Don't reel that little bait so fast!
Or...yes to any and all of the above??
The Banana mold I purchased was the 1/4 and 3/8 and the 3/8oz spinnerbaits I made up used a bigger blade...and bigger skirt....and a trailer and those don't spin side-wards at all even at warp speed.
