« on: 10/07/14 20:36 UTC »
Hi All, I have updated the Color Recipe Book, it has 268 Color Recipes. You can get your free pdf at http://lonestarbaitco.com/products.html . For those who have purchased an upgraded version I have already sent out new links for a free 1 time download of the latest book. I have also updated the webpage, correcting many dead links, and updating the product information.

Enjoy

This is a sale ad and should have been listed under the "For Sale or Trade" column.

I just printed the free version.  Pages 1-50.  If you have Adobe pro it prints just fine.

I just saved the free version just to see if I could. It worked. odds are I wont ever use it as I like doing my own thing most of the time.  Don't know why hes trying to sell his cookbook.

Nothing wrong with making a few dollars for his efforts, IMO.  We pay people throughout our lives, to profit, for a whole lot less.

IMHO $1.99 is more than fair for all the time he took to put it together.

I have spent between 70 and 100 hours collecting, compiling and organizing these files over the past year and a half. Not to mention my webpage information and videos. All SHARED AT NO CHARGE for the benefit of others, and I am still ridiculed for trying to recoup some of my server expenses.

Thanks.

So I am clear and Mantase knows I'm not ridiculing...here's what I meant, in more words...

Throughout our lives, we receive a lot less, while paying a person to profit much more.

Some have paid a much Prettier Penny for similar Compilations, and there's nothing wrong with that, either.  As Fisherman and Tackle Crafters, we spend a chunk of change on a lot un-necesarry things...surely there's nothing wrong with what's happening in the Original Post.

Any other differences between the feebie and the one for 1.99?  I appreciate all you're hard work you put into it.
Although, it would take up a lot of room. It would be sweet if everyone takes an up close pic of the bait in a particular color and you were able to add it next to the recipe. For purchase only of course. LoL  :D Still would be cool though.

I think that for those just entering this hobby a cookbook of color isn't a bad option. There are a lot of us here that might not benefit by one byt those just coming in the door have a lot of questions and many are about basic color recipes. I don't see any thing wrong at all with this.

The upgraded version is indexed with all the recipe names and what page they are on. It prints out in a nice clean book with room for notes (lots of formatting involved) its a 58 page print out. The excel and office versions are all hyperlinked just click the recipe and it takes you to it. plus you can still export the pdf version for printing and it has a recipe convertor, copy and paste the recipe and scale it up or down to get the amount of color and drops you need for the job your doing. I would love to add pics to each one for everyone, if anyone makes a color and submits the pic over the website I will figure out a way to add it. I thought about mixing them myself but its not possible for me at this time.

They are probably old recipes. You have to find something comparable.
