Brush Head jig poured without the weed guard.  I've been using it for that since 2008 and it's the best thing I have found for that presentation.

Looking at the Gulp JigHeads, Berkley probably developed the best-holding Collar for that odd water-based Plastic.  I would try to, #1, imitate what Berkley did by finding a similar Collar.  2, find a suitable Mold that has all the options (weights and hooks) I need, and 3 (if You really found the right mold), find one that can be used for other Baits, Rigging, Applications.

If I were fishing Gulp and wanted to pour my own 'Heads for it, looking at what Berkley did, I think I'd get the Poison Tail...

One mold has down to 1/8 oz....
Takes the KILLER Mustad 91768 but there's also an optional Hook with the 28/30-degree Bend but without the Wide Gap (if You wanted)...
The Poison Tail can be rigged MANY ways...
That Collar is versatile...set Your Mind Free...and it's similar to the Gulp Head Collar...
Weed Guard can be omitted when the Head is poured...

If You'd rather Round Heads...

http://www.barlowstackle.com/Do-It-Round-Head-Mold-P196.aspx

That mold pours a Round Head and that Similar Collar...

You may have more (and cheaper) Hook Options with that Round Head mold, as-opposed to that Poison Tail mold.  The Round Head mold is also $5 cheaper, so that lowers Your Initial Cost, too.
The Round Head mold has much-Lighter Cavities on the Small End so Your Weight Options are also Plenty.

The Round Head is designed around the Gamakatsu 604 which are made from Wire that's slightly heavier than some other 570/575-styled Hooks, so that means its Collar is designed to pour around that Heavier Wire Hook Shank.

Considering Wire Diameters, You can probably find other Hooks that are made from Lighter Wire and, because of the Lighter Wire, go up a Hook-Size or 2 and still get Complete Collar Pours (You'd probably need to modify the Eye-Wire Recess in the Mold to pour bigger Hooks, though)...if You wanted Bigger Hooks.

I'm only referring to the Round Head here...
