A year ago last Friday we lost our colleague, & dear friend Jerry Van Sickle.  Last night we had the chance to get together with Mrs. JerryV and spend  time remembering Jerry at some of his favorite fishing holes.  We threw back a couple of Jerry's favorite cold ones and & each told a few of our favorite Jerry stories while taking in the great scenery he surrounded himself with every time he wet a line.  A good time had by all and a special night we were honored to take part of.

Thanks Michelle; We appreciate you letting us be a part of it.  Or as Jerry would say.... "Surdoapreciadur"

I miss him. This was a great way to remember him and I am sorry I missed this.

It was a beautiful evening and we were grateful to be included.  We visited his favorite largemouth lake and is favorite smallie creek and left behind some ashes.  Lots of stories and laughs with Michelle, Jerry's brother John and his wife Bobbie.  Great people and a great tribute to a friend we truly miss.

Jerry sure could pick some beautiful fishing holes.  I hope all his friends and family have found peace.  I think about him all the time when I make baits and visit this forum and I'm sure I'm not alone, miss you Jerry.

I liked Jerry a lot.  We spoke quite a few times, he was always Professional, Good Hearted, Down to Earth.  Definitely my kind of American.

I keep a Quote from Jerry on the Top of my Jerry V-style Signature on all my posts...and it will stay.

Jerry brought some wonderful people into my life, and the do-it family is at the top of the list.  Everything about the night was perfect.   I am truly blessed.   God is great!

Enjoyed his post and video's.Did mot know him but enjoyed the smallmouth stream my favorite.Smallmouth. Prayer's to his family.

I did learn a lot from him, but haven't been down to the man cave for quite some time.  Heck I haven't even had a fishin' pole in my hand for over a year.

It's great memories that I have for Jerry only getting to meet him at the get together. Any time I need to get my Jerry fix I watch the videos. Hope all is well with Michelle.

Jerry was a special guy and active part of this forum. For those of us here who haven't made a get together, he was the public face of Do-It. His post count is higher than many who have been here for years, and his daily post count is still over 1/day after a year without him. He is missed.
