Modified Fiberguard Jig Mold
« on: 03/09/17 14:48 UTC »
Here is my 3rd revision to my fiberguard jig mold.  This one is the best to date and the simplest.  It makes use of the WEY375 Wire Form.  1/4 oz pictured.  Enjoy.

Very Cool ThumpHuntin. I really like that candy blue color. I had a pickup that color several years back. I'll have to buy a jar of that, if that's what you used on these jigs.

Those are nice jigs with the mod on them. And lines.....I think that the color is candy purple. The candy blue is way bluer than that if he's using the Pro-Tec paint.

The color is called june bug flake and is my favorite now.  Its a deep purple with very fine turquoise flake in it.  Last Saturday the june bug jig head performed the best.

I was in a pinch and needed a blue quick.  Went to BPS and found this instead.

I really like the color. I painted some jigs with it just last week and thought it was great.  I think Do-it sells June bug flake.

Thanks MikeJ, Do-it does indeed sell it. Looks like I'll be putting an order together. I want to try my old alcohol lamp to heat the jig heads for powder coating. I used to use it to singe off the tag ends when wrapping rods.

Lines I've used an alcohol burner it does work. I like using a heat gun. Just wish someone would invent a quiet heat gun lol. You'll like that color I painted some midwest finesse jigs in it and they look sweet.

My June bug is pro-tec.
Had to look again. Yep, Pro Tec is what Do-It sells too. Perfect.

Even better than the colors you have on those jigs, is the awesome mod and superior paint job. That is great work.
