Weedless Walleye jig mold
« on: 05/13/17 04:26 UTC »
I know a lot of guys want this mold, I'd love to see it with 5 cavities, 1/8oz, 3/16oz, 1/4oz, 3/8oz, and 1/2oz.  It could be made to take an EC 410 or Mustad 32786 but it would be even better is it was designed like the weedless banana head in that it can take both 60 and 90 degree heavy wire hooks.

Like the idea. I use the poison tail with the 3.5 swim shad when I around weeds. But another option is always welcome.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

That is an easy mod for the existing mold, fill in the collar with high temp silicone for the 1/16oz, the 3/32oz and the 1/8oz and you'll have the sizes you want without the collar. I have weighed those on my postal scale without the collar and the 1/16oz is extremely close to 1/32, the 3/32oz with the collar is close to 1/16oz and the 1/8oz without the collar is spot on for 3/32oz. Then all you have to do is lay a wire in for the weed guard and clamp shut, now you have to weedless model. The mold I'm asking for needs redesigned to accept the larger hook, so the smaller sizes aren't possible, the walleye head makes a nice hair jig, a larger model with a barbed collar or a ring collar with a wire keeper like the Do-it football jig with wire keeper would make for a nice bass jig that would be equally at home in grass as well as rock, I bet it would be a big seller since the old weedless walleye mold pops up on ebay from time to time and sells for more than $60 most of the time, I saw one sold for $80 plus shipping and I would have bought it if I wasn't too late.
