General Discussion / Re: Denting in Hatchet Craw Claws?

What I do for baits that dent a lot is shoot the bait then slowly pour hot plastic in the spur as it draws it. This doest allow the spur to harden up and then no denting

Nice looking jigs!

I got the mold too, and have poured some, but haven't painted any yet. I like the jig, as basic as it is, and think it will be a good one. I'm not sold on the hooks yet, they appear a bit short, but I only got 4/0. Not that shorter hooks can't be good. I also poured some with a different, longer shank hook, and will have to see which I like best.

I have some powder on order, and will get more jigs poured and hope to try the new powder colors on them.  :D

I'm really liking this jig. These are done up without the weed guard again but with the cast on ringed keeper so bucktail can be tied on. I have a couple of Do-It's UV bucktails on the way to try with these heads and I'm sure they be winners.

Paints are Pro-Tec's candy colors, and the eyes are from Do-It's wide 3D eye selection. Those Warmouth eyes from the Attack series sure make the orange and chartreuse heads look down right mad. I love it!

I'll follow up when the buckies are done.

Lureworks ultra marine blue with a tiny ,tiny amount of white with royal blue glitter. Try that & see what you think. You can even put a small amount of white glitter like use to be in zooms.

ctom, looking at the Zoon color photos, the sapphire baits look to have blue glitter in them.... I think silver ought to do as well, no???
