Vacum stencil former

It's a pvc drain that the shop vac hooks up to and a hot air gun to heat the .15 piece of plastic

That's an awesome idea. Is the plastic a special kind of plastic?

Very cool
..not even a whole lot of set up involved.   But I am curious as to the type of film you are using.  Is it something that we could get from hobby lobby?

I've been back to this thread a dozen times and each time I say wow, what an idea with the floor drain. That is just plain slick.

I watched a lot of you video's and most of them had too much volume for the vac. So I looked for something I thought would be better and that's what I came up with. It worked the very first time I tried it.

I guess I'm missing something here. What are you using it for ? Why vacuum pack a lure ?

It's to make a stencil for air brushing a certain lure. After you vacuum seal around it you then cut the pattern you want on the lure into the plastic.

The stencil that is left will fit over that type of lure for painting and require nothing to hold it in place. Very quick and very professional. The trouble is that you need a srencil for every different bait you paint!

And just what do you have to do with your time right now Gary. You can get the boat in the water. You've already cooked a years worth of plastic. Oprah has canceled her TV series. Be daring and try something different and make your own instead of buying while you have the time. lol Besides, Hobby Lobby is probably wondering where you've been all winter.

Ok I get it. That is pretty cool idea. I don't do any air brush painting so had no idea.
