The Nano….

With ice fishing right around the corner now is the time to cook up some baits. Seen here are some Nano Fry’s that are done core shot style to give the chartreuse tails the advantage over those tail plucking sunfish that seem to enjoy wrecking a bait. Tails cut and re-set in the mold for the second color to be injected, hoping that the weld will hold, are not challenge for sunfish. Core shooting the tail color makes these small baits tougher than nails, tougher than sunfish jaws.

Nice.  Whats the orange color? 

I've looked at the nano many times, but don't have it.  Always thought it would be good on as a mini drop shot bait.

The Nano is a sunfish killer.

The orange is Do-It's fluorescent orange with a shot of Bear's fluorescent orange. No longer available, Bear's is just a tad bit redder and more opaque. In this mall bait is a great combo. The chartreuse is Do-Its X2 chartreuse mixed fairly strong [about thirty drops in 4 ounces] and with a couple drops of white to opaque it and make it stand out better in the tiny tails.
