I just finished a couple crappie cranks doing a little different paint scheme and haven't really decided if I like them or not. lol No pics yet as they're still dripping the seal coat. Maybe tonight. Gonna be busy the next couple days so if I don't get the pics up tonight I'll get to it when the busy ends. They aren't a bad looking crappie but a couple areas I'm just not too crazy about. I'll point them out when the pictures come up.
On the sunfish, the belly colors are a tad too strong. They could have used a smidge of black to hold them back a bit. I'll be trying that the next couple I do.
I'll mention now that I am using Do-It's Bait Blast colors in all of these. about the only colors used that have come straight from the bottle are the two belly colors, otherwise I am mixing colors to get what I want. That back color is watermelon splashed up a bit with plain brown, thinned like crazy and a nice dollops of green and bronze hilites stirred in. The pic was shot really this morning before direct daylight could hit the baits and fire up with the bronze and green. Really pretty in daylight. Of all the hi lite powders I think bronze has more utility than any of the others, especially when trying to get a natural looking color to bounce a bit. The green hi lite compliments the bronze very well. Try it sometime.
