Hand tied crappie jigs
« on: 09/17/21 06:22 UTC »
Here are some of my crappie jigs tied with mallard flank feathers that I dyed. I've caught thousands of crappie on these over the years. 1/6th Diner Shiners and custom 1 gram Minnow heads.

Hats off sir, very nice!!!!!!!!!!!
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

The only way duck feathers look any better is when the wings are cupped and feet down... as for the heads, they cannot look any better (except in a fish's mouth)!

Thanks for the kind words. The heads were painted using Silver Crinkle powder paint as my last color that I dip into before baking in the oven. I'm addicted to the silver, but can't get the other three colors to blend as well.

I use Pro Tec powder paints silver crinkle but also have used the silver foundation from fishingskirts.com with the same results so think they are the same.
