Do-it flutter jig

Hey everyone I am looking for some finishing ideas for these jigs.  I have ordered eyes and scale tape just wondering what else is out there to give it more color.

Yes, scale tape works well.  Put it on and trim with a razor blade.  I will sometimes coat them with epoxy after the tape is on.  I'm not sure what color it is but witchcraft makes a tape that looks like an oil slick,  Its great on the flutter jigs.  It makes a perfect non-committal baitfish that can resemble almost any shad or white-bait species. 

I also just paint a lot of them pearl white with powder paint.  Its a good color for the Great Lakes. 

Or get nuts and air-brush them like Mo says.  I end up air-brushing fire tiger ones.

Try pure tin and uncoated shell veneer, then coat with epoxy. Its not cheap but worth the trouble. Looks unreal in the water and as far as brown trout go it really makes a difference.



Aquablue Maui is well suited inside the U.S.. Europeans like me however are being charged 90$ alone for the export form so I go with morningcalm.com. German customs have them registered as sustainable, easy on both the handling and the conscious mind.

Since the flutter jig has a flat side surface, you can go with the raw uncoated material which looks better and bonds better with the epoxy than the pre-broken flexible veneer.

Those are certainly some very nice looking baits; with the quality they have, you should easily get some of your export (import) costs back by selling them!
