A blast from the past....
« on: 01/26/19 13:48 UTC »
Maybe 30 years ago a buddy somehow got his mitts on a bag full of Demon jigs that were what most would call "seconds".  This guy worked at a plating company and took his new found treasure to work ad gold plated the suckers. I was lucky enough to get about a hundred of these little lures and fished the life right out of them as these look and after painting a mess of them up in assorted hot colors of the day. As can be seen here the spin caster didn't quite fill each cavity completely and these were discarded before the plating.

Its amazing that after all these years in a junk drawer they are still looking like fine jewelry. lol These were "the jig" to have back then. I wonder if the fish can tell they aren't complete and whether or not they should hit something so old.
