 I'm a bass fisherman. Crappies are for sissy's. I use the ripper for spinnerbait trailers and chatter bait trailers. I change it up a bit from spring to fall but it's a killer bait.

Custom Poisontail mold I made... But the Manic Mullet works well too. I did add a double keeper wire to mine.

 For the 3.5 I use a darter jig with 3/0 hook.

Tear drop wire keeper or freestyle because the keeper holds on to plastic like nothing else. Wear others jig you would have to super glue the plastic to the head.

i dont see a reason to get fancy with the jighead on a swimbait, i just use the appropriate sized ball head for the depth/bait i am using. havent had any problems getting hooks in fish, bigger bait i just use a long shank hook.
