The week from hell
« on: 08/20/23 09:34 UTC »
At least it is finally over.  We finally finished our move to a smaller ranch style home.  The movers were incompetent and stupid to boot but they got it done.  Been hauling stuff from one place to another for the better part of a month (even my hair hurts).  Lots of things wrong with the new house but at least the builder is responsible and fixes each problem as it arises.  Still have 50 or better boxes to go thru but it is getting in shape.  On Friday I was notified that my brother passed away, we were very close and it hurts like hell.  Not sure what next week will bring but I truly hope it gets better.
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

Prayers for you bud!

They say when it rains, it pours. Hopefully you're past it all now.

They're going have to change that little quip though because we don't see much rain let alone pour, but we have heat that is only a couple degrees from hell. And it going to just keep getting hotter according to the weather forecast.

Thanks everyone.  Finally broke the hot weather streak today,  Been watering 13-15 hours per day trying to hang on to our newly laid sod, and that was not easy.  We did lose a few pieces but watering those 3 times a day to see if we can bring them back.  Got a little dehydrated yesterday with feels like temps around 118.  Todays high is supposed to be 83.  Wonderful news that is.  Oh yeah, I also pulled a groin muscle yesterday.  I gotta say if you are going to make your final move DO IT BEFORE YOU TURN 75.LOL.
