DIY Powder Paint

Am I missing something here? I don't see any comparison of this being anything close to powder paint not even close?

I use various powder coat suppliers state side and ship to Australia. Yes it's not cheap but you build that into prices. We charge more for our goods at the end of the day.

 But that's not even airbrushing. You need to look up dipping.

That could be stress paint Lamar. It does that cracking thing when applied over a certain kind of undercoat.

Stress paint. Crackle pint. Several different names for the stuff but the same paint and technique.

I don't think so. Look at the wire. It has a swirl paint on it like it was dipped.

There's that. Stress paint is liquid so it could have been dipped too. Who knows.

Looking close I'm 99% sure that spinner bait is dipped.
I believe it's called hydro graphics.
It looks cool but I'm fairly certain it's not airbrushed!
Zooming in it may have a touch of airbrushing over the dipped finish such as the light green band on the blade.
I'm not seeing a crackle finish here either.
At least not like ones I've seen before!

  That's it. I watched a video where they did motorcycle gas tanks with that. It was pretty cool. It was fast and easy. Never though of down scaling it to do fishing baits. But it's got me thinking.

  I'm not sure what fluid they use but they take a small tank with this fluid and put black and green in it. The paint floats on top. Then take a pin and swirl it to give the lightning effect. Then take a drop of the green and put it in the middle and take the pin and make one line. This would give you the black on top and bottom and the bright green in the middle when you dipped it. If you look all three pieces are the same.

The ones I've seen they had a tank of water.
Then they put a preprinted film on top.
That way they could do the same pattern over and over.
Such as realtree brand camo patterns.
