Must be the water displacement that enables fish to locate and attack the clear baits.

Clear plastic refracts [bends light] differently in water than the water itself so fish can see it. Clear with a little hi lite is a dandy natural bait, one of my favorite cold water walleye bait colors. Adding a smidge of the uv enhancer powder is also a dandy fish catching machine.

i also like clear baits. Some with different glitters. I use them on my 7" split tail shads and my 8" swim Baits and also many smaller baits. I really don't notice the fish shying away from them. Especially with holographic eyes. Which the fish really check them out. Give it a try, and don't be bashful with the small silver glitter.(my choice)
