Regarding blade's shine, flash on a spinnerbait:
Surely it doesn't have to shine/flash. Potentially we've just been programmed to see it as "just the way it is", and "flashy blades" have been advocated, perpetuated, with little opposing data.
With a patinate Copper Hildebrandt blade, the design and weight benefits of said blade remain, but the bright color and flash are removed.
When I imagine what this probably looks like underwater, especially with a grass/heavy cover background, from a fish's perspective, I like what I see.
