Yep cures just fine!!!  Unless you dip one for too long and get the paint heavy!!LOL  Here's how I know!!!LOL  Had to add a bit more clear to it.

This is the Pearl EX flamingo pink

To prevent nipple jigs I use the racks TJ's tackle sells.
They hold your jigs upright and any excess paint runs down the hook shank where it is easily cleaned off.

These were the first ones i dipped with the PearlEx - it takes more clear as it's a mica powder but also works alot better when you don't leave it in the powder too long.

The candy and translucent colors over the antique silver come out nice too.

Getting into mixing powders and using glitter and the fluid beds before you know it, it's an addiction all in itself!!!

Fatman I like those colors.
Yes all aspects of this hobby are addicting.
I really like how you kept the jig eyes clear while powder painting them. That is one of my biggest pet peaves and I simply will not use a jig with paint in the jig eyes.
If a person can't figure out how to keep the paint out of the jig eyes why bother? Whenever I tried the jig buster etc it chipped the paint. The hot needle trick worked but was an extra step.
Now I use 2 pairs of hemostats one holding the hook bend to heat and a cold pair holding the hook eye to dip. Keeps them clean and works good.
Again nice work on the jigs I do like the glitter finishes for sure.

X2 on paint in the eyes!!!  I see them in the stores that way and how people buy them and have to fight to get the eyes clear before they can even use them.  But I tie flys too and it's the same thing with fly tying cement in the eye of the fly!

I have a pair of needle nose pliers that the inside jaws are smooth, a lite squeeze and it cracks the paint on the eye and I have a big needle in a plastic handle.  As hard as powder paint gets I feel that even a little bit in the eye can cause the line to wear and break fast.

Some of the sites list clear as nothing comes up in search!!  If you search High Gloss Clear or Gloss Clear it usually comes up

Powder by the pound

I prefer the CS coatings compared to automotive colors - especially the Disco colors because I feel they "sparkle" more.  When it comes to cost, I have found that when I purchase stuff "in bulk" I usually end up wasting it, spilling it or simply not using it - costing me more in the long run.

Great tip on the hemostats on the jig eye!
Take somebody fishing soon!

I like the different colors crazyanglertackle.com has. Be sure to try baitfish (silver  minnow color) gold shiner, black cherry and several others.

Ditto on the hemostat tip.  I think I got that from Fatman as well.
Until next time.
