That's one thing I try to do if I think about it and am not trying to increase/maximize my take, is change when I'm catching. Sometimes this is out of the question because my intent is Meat in the Cooler. Many times, however, I'm on a typical trip and just a few fish is plenty...that's when I can go into the mode of changing while they're biting. For one to do this, he/she must realize that they're not hungry so they're not depending on harvesting fish in order to eat...and one must realize they're not out to harvest fish to the point that they justify the cost of the trip and/or gear and feel that they've "paid for" the money they spent with what was harvested. Come to that place, within yourself, and You're where You need to be to change while they're biting, in the Name of Learning. Be Content.
