3 color Midwest Finesse
« on: 06/15/20 12:19 UTC »
Going to the river tomorrow and want to try my hand at Ned rigging for a bit. I like purple baits when using worms and the Do-It Senko so I thought I'd cook up something different for tomorrows adventure. I hand poured the two sides, one with purple/purple flake and the other side with chameleon and red flake. I shot some thin smoke loaded with purple hi lites thru the middle. The baits shot perfectly, then the trouble started. No with the baits, but getting the picture. lol

The side closest to the forceps is purple. The smoke vein was a dilly to try and get to show in a picture but in this shot you can see it. The chameleon is the super electric blue seen on the far left. The chameleon will shift from the blue/purple color seen in the photo to a nice flesh colored brown when it hits the water giving the bait a three color appearance. I did some crappie baits in the chameleon a while ago and they sure turned some crappies' heads so I thought I'd use the left-overs here.

I used the hook and forceps to keep my thumb/hand out of the picture. My thumb is sort of black right now as it lost the battle with a hammer while I was doing some deck work.

A buddy and I are headed to Lamberson's part of the river tomorrow. I'll have them along in the event we stray from crappies to bass. Be fun to try something different.
