Title: First time out this year
Post by: olsarge on 03/02/22 14:05 UTC
I don't get out as often as I would like to and truthfully, I feel a little guilty when I do go because of my wife's condition.  Today the wife urged me to go out so out I went.  I started off with a new crappie tube.  Caught two small bass on my first four casts and then hit a lull.  I picked up another rod that already had a watermelon over chart tweety  bird on it and it was game on.  Wound up with a mixture of 19 bass and bluegill.  Often I would have 4 or 5 strikes on the same cast before I could hook up and had 5 fish on 5 consecutive casts at one point.  A very satisfying hour and a half of fishing.  Now I gotta shoot some more watermelon/chart birds for next time.  That tweety  bird has officially become my favorite!

Great job. It's nice to make a plan come together.

What's a Tweety Bird?
It is a Jacobs mold.  The body is basically the same as their 1.5 inch tadpoles but the tail has two little flippers that go crazy when you twitch it.  Killer little bait.
