Very nice tie! You fish that below the jig? What size hook is that if I can ask and what species of fish hit it? Never thought about using a fly with a jig.

It's a number 2 hook there is a long foam bead for live bait rigs is what makes it float. Just about any thing that swims will eat it . I use it for walleye and white bass. The lead jig is positioned we're the first guide from the reel seat is and the float fly is were the hook holder is. Any one that has thrown doubles have had them tangle and twist if you use two jigs that weigh the same. I use lead and float and 1/32 with 1/16  1/16 with 1/8 the lighter one is alway in the hook holder and the heavier is in the first guide.

I really like the fly and the concept for fishing this. I've never thought to put the floater on bottom. This should be killer on the River for walleye and perch. I'm gonna make up a couple for this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

I agree, great concept. I always fish the lighter above the heavier jig. I also like the idea of sticking a floater bead up inside of the tubing! Will have to make some up.

Not every one fishs the same way but still catch fish. That's what is so cool about the forum at DO-IT is that everyone shares and we all are better people form that. Hope this puts some extra fish on the table.
