Hybrid grass heads, dressed up
« on: 08/28/22 21:57 UTC »
Here are a couple of the Hybrid Heads wearing rubber skirts....all dressed up and somewhere to go.

Feels somewhat like fall today with the early rain and then clouds and breeze. The squirrels did me a favor and dropped this bunch of oak leaves after garnering the acorns, so I figured I'd use them in the picture.

I like my jigs with just a bit less ru8bber in them and these, I think, turned out just about right.  A craw, maybe the Tanaka Craw, would be a great trailer on these.

More good looking lures from you ctom!

I walked over to the lake this morning and tried tossing a popper, a couple of buzzbaits and bladed jigs, but didn't take any hybrid jigs. I got one bump on a 1/8 oz white buzzbait and that was the only thing I got other than casting practice, again. I'm pretty sure that was a small Bluegill as I had seen a few following the lures.

It's been overcast here the last few mornings and calm, but still quite warm, so I decided to give it a try.  Once the Sun came out, it got hot in a hurry and I called it a day.

I'm looking forward to some cooler weather, maybe that will move some fish here.   I have some small profile jigs that are purple & brown, purple & greenpumpkin,  and purple & black that I want to try.
