Yep, older post, but that style never really gets old. I tie a good many bucktail jigs on the banana style heads. Have been using them for many years.

I was sorting through some older tackle the other night and found some jigs that I had bought, maybe 15 years ago, and they had small banana heads, 1/4 & 3/8 oz, and maybe a 2/0 or 3/0 hook. I know they were old, because the paint wasn't powder coat. I was going to put them on Ebay, then decided to maybe tie them with hair instead. Most were painted black or brown, and I'll use the hair from the backside of some bucktails that I have, That makes a good jig and if I lose them, not a big concern.

This isn't the head, but is how I'll tie them.  ;D
