Will multi molds of the same jig speed up the process?

Multi? What is meant here? Many cavities of the same size jig speeds things up yes. Several different sizes of the same head, no.

sorry Tom.  looking into the 4 cav 1/32 4cav 1/16 mold.  would three molds be fast then one.   I don't see that it would but I'm not sure.

In my experience pouring of jig heads. A mold of four identical cavities is much faster than a single cavity in a combined size mold.  A production mold of eight is also faster than a four cavity, but not quite like the percent productivity increase of the four vs one.  That said, the black handled production molds are my choice for a head I use a fair number of.  I have a production mold   of both the 1/32 and the 1/16 ( black handle ).  The combo - 4 each 1/32 & 1/16 collects dust ( blue handle ).

I get the production molds whenever possible so I can cast 7 or 8 of the same size heads. Things move right along once you develope a pattern. The professional molds have a very tight tolerance and if you are not drop-filling the molds you'll be less than a happy camper.

Molds that I have had for a few years that have six or seven cavities of different sizes are used if I want to modify a cavity. I have some old Herters molds that I bought in Waseca, Minnesota at the original store back in the 60's....I'd skip school and drive over there for a day and just plain get lost in all of the things they had.lol

I have a spin caster for a few heads but that thing is NOT my friend. Gonna sell the thing. The production molds from Do It are sweet units and make a very clean head. If anyone is thinking of making more than a few heads, the production mold direction is one I'd suggest. And Do It molds are the best of all of the mold brands I have used.

The fastest way to produce jigs is with a two man set up. One guy takes the jigs out of the mold and puts new hooks into the mold while the second man actually pours the lead and keeps the pot going (fluxing and putting new ingots into the pot). If you have three molds you can actually make it a three man operation!
