A little more cabin time....
« on: 08/12/21 16:35 UTC »
Left early Monday and back home today. Nice weather - highs in the 70's with low humidity - and only a couple random rain showers that really didn't affect us at all. Fished the breakwater 5 times for a couple hours each time and managed one herring, one coho and one very oddball walleye of 24". Walleyes will migrate a short ways up the north shore from the Wisconsin coast to the south, but generally do not get very far before the colder water turns them around. This is the second walleye I've ever taken in Two Harbors from the breakwater in over 30 years.

My five year old Shimano Symetre 4000 shelled out on me on Tuesday morning which sent me on a reel quest early that afternoon. Its amazing how hard it is to find a quality reel at this time of the year, and with Corona on the up-tick.
