Help with BG Mayfly color
« on: 01/21/21 15:58 UTC »
Hey guys,
I am trying to replicate Bobby Garland mayfly color.  I think it is  "Monkey Milk" over clear with fine red flake.  I can't find any here to look at.  Does anyone think the bottom has any colorant in the plastic or that the top might  be something different?
Thanks for any info you can give me.

Looked at the picture. I think you are correct. No colorant, just red flake in the botton section.

I could no find a real great picture of the color but sort of lean towards the clear with red as well.

ky....

Slip a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil between the mold halves and push the aligning pins thru. Clamp as usual, then snip the foil in the injection port out and inject it with the foil in place. You can do this until you get the real plate to work thru the color issue.
