My New Lipless Crankbait Pattern
« on: 09/23/18 23:38 UTC »
I made a batch of these 10 in total to give away when I go fishing at the lakes and rivers. I make tons of lures and it keeps me busy. I enjoy the hobby a lot but I get more enjoyment out of giving them all away to people I meet when I go fishing at the lakes and rivers. I’ve been blessed enough to have all the means to do it and I make most types of lures whether they are soft plastics, jigs, flies, squarebills, lipless CB’s, poppers, etc.. I usually don’t post them but seeing as I am really pleased with this pattern and I don’t do this as a business I thought why not share one it with you guys. Here’s a link to a picture I posted in the gallery since I have issues posting pictures in the regular forum threads. http://custombaits.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=3322

That is one sweet looking bait. The walleye’s by me wouldn’t let that swim by without taking a taste.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Looks pretty good... But those blanks I could never get them to run good, Especially with 1-2 coats of epoxy finish. I bought 100's of them and have tried many things to fix them.

Thanks but I’m really not. I just keep trying until I get it right. If I am then everyone on here is which is the beauty of this site since it show people there is more to fishing and the industry driving mass produced baits. Nothing wrong with them at all since they push and grow the sport, but when you can’t fish you can make lures.

Thanks Kyle, I've been able to post in the gallery no problem and I've even posted a few pictures in the threads before but not many. This time I kept getting the error that my photos needed to be jpg.'s and that's how I saved them I even downsized the files so I just figured i'd throw the link in there to the gallery as there was a photo in there of it. I appreciate it.

yeah I bought these blanks two years ago and couldn’t remember where I got them. Thanks for the heads up, maybe I’ll keep them and buy some different blanks to give away so no one gets ticked off because they can’t get them to run true. I usually just hand carve from balsa but I ran across these in my storage.
