There's "Sexy Shad" and then.....

....there's Sexier Shad.

I've been wanting to try this color but have been too lazy to cook up the colors so this morning I thinned out some colors and did a re-melt. Turned out pretty good.

Top bait is a 2 1/2" Crappie Fluke, new last fall. Anxious to try this color in this bait. I know already that purple/chartreuse tails works well with it. The other bait is a 1 7/8" fluke style that's much smaller in stature and the colors come out a hair better in it in the picture but both are super nice looking.

All of the colors and plastic are Do-It colors and a Do-It Twin Injector did the injection honors to make these baits just outstanding.

That color combo has to be a walleye killer also...especially in muddy waters.

No Doubt. I have no idea why I didn't take time to mess with this color before. I sort of like for crappies.

Need my 8) to even look at that!  That would have a time and place in my line-up.

Where can we find your Sexier Shad recipe, Tom?

Kyle, I used already made plastic and just thinned it out a bit with new plastic during the re-melt. The blue is Do-It's X2 Blue and X2 Fluorescent blue with blue hi lite and the blue micro glitter found in the lead paint section. About a teaspoon of the glitter to a cup of plastic was the original mix. I took about a 1" square size chunk of the blue plastic and added raw plastic in a four ounce cup to make the four ounces. The chartreuse was fairly strong X2 and almost opaque and I did the same size chunk with it in an identical cup and raw plastic. No glitter in the chartreuse but there is some blue hi lite in it. Both colors have some uv enhancer powder.

I heated both cups in the microwave together so the temps would be near identical but the blue heated a bit faster and cooled just a hair while the chartreuse caught up. Didn't matter though.
