Does anyone know the process to add mottling to a soft egg for steelhead fishing?

Welcome aboard. I don’t know that I can properly answer your question. My best guess would be using a dual injector while rotating the injector to create a swirl effect. Just a guess though.

My guess is with a sponge. White color on the sponge then roll to apply. I would give Lureworks a shout and see what they recommend but their SB Coat soft plastic paint looks like it would work. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

I'd do the sponge trick but use the Do-It White airbrush paint. That stuff is tough and will coat well. I'd make the eggs, then wash them well in alcohol of at least 905 then air dry and coat when dry.
