I'll do some pics next week when I get back from my Daughter's wedding...but for the Gill Pill you thread on any bait big enough ....or just "tip" or "nose hook" the really tiny stuff. Remember it's cold out there ice fishing...so you can't get to fancy!
I would thread on the NanoFry....and just use the tail as a "tipper" cutting the tail shorter...and shorter as the season progresses.
If you got a micro 'Pill (the tungsten one) you need a super tiny bit of tail! That hook is probably an 18 .
The live bait we use are maggots and EuroLarve (colored maggots!) which are the size of a cooked grain of rice and wax worms which are about the size of a black bean up to a kidney bean (I like the smaller ones). You might also use a bit of a red worm. Night crawlers or garden worms are too big (unless it's a really small garden worm!).
Put that "Gill Pill on an Ultralight and drop it over the side of the boat. It's a great summer bait also. The work great under a really small bobber.
