Its that time again for new molds.  What's the scoop?  Sounds like the popular vote is for a hover rig mold.  Let me know when you hear anything.

I can only say that I made a trip to HQ last month and was VERY excited with what I saw in this arena, having both lead and plastic offerings on the horizon.  They told me they were planning for a fall release since the crew was (and perhaps still is) in the design/testing phase for these products.

If there is any consolation to this not being a summer release (at least for me), it is the fact the the Big Muddy is living up to its name and there is little productivity with this style of fishing as of late.  However, I do feel for you all of you that have good water conditions and would like to employ these in your summer patterns... the good news is that Do-it is progressing towards a custom line-up to help us all with our hover strolling game.

Yes, for sure.  ;)

As excited as I am about the jig mold, I have to admit that I am even more excited about the plastic hover bait mold they are going to release (or at least the one I saw on Brennan's computer)... it should be an absolute slam dunk for this technique!

I didn't commit exact details to memory (so I could be wrong), but I'm 99% sure the hook is a Victory 90* O'Shaughnessy and I think the weights started at 1/16, but I don't remember what they topped out at.

It's nice to see they were able to bump up their production so we can all find out before November.

That hook style seems to have a pretty short leg to stand as tall above the casting as the picture shows. Maybe just an illusion with the photography.
