....this one done using a crane swivel [do-it #2462[ a light split ring, a Mustad #14 35647 treble hook and a 1/16 ounce Scheel's bullet weight.

I clip a small drill bit the diameter of the crane swivel's body into a vise grips and hand spin the weights from the bottom up to drill them out. I give the weights a dip or two in CS Lure Coat vinyl paint in the colors I want and while the paint is drying I make up the swivel/split ring hook assembly. When the paint is hard I put just a small dab of gel super glue on the swivel body and slip it into the weight from the bottom and hang from the eye at the top until the glue is hard.
They're strictly a vertical jigging lure but can also be hung under a slip float and jigged too. Pretty simply operation and much less expensive than the Clam lure which is almost a twin to this.
