| pjmcla | 01/11/12 12:43 UTC That makes a neat bait. How much more action does it have vs the full body? |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 01/11/12 12:53 UTC Not sure of it's action compared to the Full Body, I haven't had the chance to test them. When I went to Okhissa, Tuesday, I'd only made Half-Shots to take along. And since I only have CCM Hard, I added Extra/Extra Mendhaden Oil to soften it, so testing must be done (Praise GOD!)...AND all my other Gliders are in the CCM Hard, so this will be my first round with these softer baits. The Half-Mold Gliders seem to just Glide, I didn't see any "swimming action". Maybe the Raised Sections on both sides are necessary for that action. It DOES, however, when paused, falls with the Tail sticking up...once the lead weight stops and just the hook is making it fall, it fell flat/horizontal with the tail sticking almost straight up. It sure got bit!!! |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 01/11/12 12:56 UTC It IS very lightweight, tho. And it's thin, so rigging is a little tougher...BUT, the ones the Bass tore up are already remelted and are now the fresh baits in the pic! Definitely a Finesse thing! |
| andrewlamberson | 01/17/12 21:34 UTC How do you do the 1/2 mold injection? When I tried clamping one side of the mold to the back of another...I just made a big mess trying to inject! I really ...really like the looks of that leech! THAT looks a lot like the live leeches we buy here. |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 01/20/12 16:24 UTC I may try dipping the "head" of a few of these to thicken it and better support a hook, if it comes to be necessary... |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 01/22/12 01:32 UTC Not sure what the action of the Flipster will be, in comparison to these, but we'll soon find out! I'm planning to fish HARD for a few days this next time home. Will report, asap... |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 01/22/12 19:34 UTC Thinking about it a little more, and considering other baits that have similar Tail Features, more attention will have to be paid to watching the action of these baits. The 6" Flip'n Stick OP has a similar tail, but only has "knubs" on 1 side since it's an OP. |
