One of my favorite molds is the Poison tail jig mold which I have also modified to use as a spinnerbait mold.
Problem is it's a pain to hold everything and close the mold.
Found a post from andrewlamberson back in 2013 that he used magnetic tape to hold the hooks.
Went one step further, drilled 1/4" holes and glued in magnets to hold things in place.
Much better now.

That looks slick. I have seen other molds drilled from the outside and had magnets inserted to do the same thing.

I like that idea! Simple, easy to accomplish, and very effective. Thanks MT204.

Verry nice work. A friend of mine did this for the little wire plastic keepers and it worked pretty slick.

I have some molds from Shawn Collins customs that have the magnets inset into them.
It does work well.

That's a great idea, where there's a will, there's a way.

That's a cool idea and I'm going to have to steal it from you. One thing I would add is take one of the aluminum pins for the weed guard and cut it so when you pour your bait it blocks the cavity and less to trim later. I do that on my chatter baits and works well.
