Title: Recipes

Okay, I know that lots of folks on this forum make baits commercially and are very protective of their recipes and I don't blame them.  However, with the number of newbies we have recently added to the fold I thought it might be a nice gesture if we each gave 1 recipe and the bait we like to use it on.  I really like to use the 2.25 inch small fry for crappie fishing (especially under a slip bobber in the winter, or vertical jigging).  My most successful color has been a laminate

TOP

4 Ounces plastisol
4 Drops of X2 Blue

BOTTOM

4 Ounces plastisol
30 drops heat stabilizer
1/16 tsp pearl powder
1/4 tsp holo silver glitter (.15)

This has been a great color for me.  How about yours?

My Bluegill....used in 1.5" Thump-Its

Clear plastic,

equal parts of green, blue, purple and copper glitter, .015 size..... as much as you like in the clear.

a small dab of uv enhancer powder.

I shoot up a pile of solid chartreuse, lop off the tails and use the tails behind the bluegill. Killer color on crappies.

Both colors look good for bass fishing as well. I want to try my hand at crappie this year

From fishingskirts.com.   Powder paint B800 Magic Craw.   Be sure and mix in cold plastic before you warm it up. I use about 1 teaspoon per 4 ounces of plastic. Use this in all my crawfish molds. Makes a very good bait! Also use this to make jig trailers.

Gary,
Magic craw is one of my favorites. Would happen to have a pic of a a bait using the powder paint as colorant?  Thank you

MF has a lot of great colors, but their gp is one that I never really cared for.  I mix equal parts of the 2 spike it Gp s.
