Title: Problem loading the eyes in jig mold LBS-6-A
Post by: mchech on 02/26/18 12:51 UTC
Hello.....My first posting. Been casting lead jigs sinkers and bullets off and on since the late 60's but this has me in fits. How Do you insert the little stainless eye into the mold? I'm having a tough time getting the eyes to fit over the little post for the stinger hook attachment. Wife suggested I start drinking decaf coffee but that won't happen. Seems like the post in the mold is too thick and requires the eye to almost snap into place. Anyways thank for your help

Welcome mchech -

I don't have that mold personally, but I do have the bell sinker with brass clips and I'm betting they function in the same essential manner... I have a small screw driver that I push in the bottom split to open it up and get it on the post.

NOTE: The clip stays on the screwdriver until transferred onto the post (and I'm not actually bending the metal clip so it holds tight to the post).
