Title: Mold sticking
Post by: Doubletroublebaits on 05/15/18 12:57 UTC
Does worm oil prevent the baits from sticking to the mold? When can it be put in while melting?

Welcome Doubletroublebaits! I use an artist brush to lighltly coat my molds about every 5 or 6 injections. A very light brushing works amazing to avoid sticking baits.

Never had a bait stick to an aluminum mold. Are you using cnc, cast, pop, silicone?

Are you talking about the worm oil?

Yes, worm oil. Brush it on the mold's cavity surfaces in a very light film. You can spray with PAM cooking spray and even WD40. I don't like the PAM because it will build up. Whatever you use, the key is just a super thing film of it. DO NOT ADD worm oil to your plastic prior to cooking.

Yes Sir. Should have made myself more clear. Brushing worm oil onto the inside of the molds. Works very well.
