Looking at getting a swirl blending block for my Do it twinjector set up. I have seen the pics on AI's site for this block but am interested in hearing some opinions on it and maybe a pic if you wouldn't mind posting a couple.
Thank you, Tim

So I know the block you are referring to and it is called the C block from AI. It's a cool little deal for sure but it doesn't create a true "swirl" although it does give that illusion. What it actually does is channel the two colors into 4 separate channels and then stacks them together to create more of a camo effect than that of a swirl. To get a true swirl, you have to use a standard blending block and alternately pulse your injectors back and forth repeatedly until you fill the mold. Now, that being said, if you don't have a standard blending block to do swirls and aren't interested in shooting laminates (or you just have the cash burning a hole in your wallet!) the C block is a great little thing to have and it can make some truly unique patterns. The link below this is to a post of mine showing a bait laminated and then baits that I swirled using a standard blending block. I don't have a picture of my C block baits on hand but can post some when I get home to the house tonight.

I have one and yes it does some cool stuff. It basically does a double laminate and will layer the colors on more straight style baits. Some baits will kind of swirl. You really can't know what each mold does until you try it.

Man if that doesn't persuade you TTDuckman, I don't know what will. Awesome work from both of you guys! This rookie (me) needs practice.

Thanks guys I haven't had a ton of time to make baits lately but every once in awhile I get time to shoot some. With this block you will get a lot of color blending because of the layering so the colors take some tweaking to get the desired effect.
