been using one for months now and it def shows its worth no matter the brand of plastic. i get very very few bubbles even from remelts (vac used while in liquid form)
-
Very nice. Any specific brand you bought. I didnt realize you could use it on hot plastic. This would be great for me for remelts.

i have a 3gallon lab1st. you can do it hot you just have to work the valve a little more and use a little more patience/caution but it will 100% work while its hot. its not a magic tool but you will notice a huge difference especially in humid areas.

Can you also use it with cool or cold plastic?

you can use it before you cook the plastic
-
How much hot plastic can you do at a time? Obviously you have to do it in pyrex inside the vacuum chamber, but can you do 2 cups in a 4 cup pyrex or???

most ive done is 4 cups

4 cups before you apply the vacuum? What did you have it in?
-
i use one of my 4 cup pyrex then set it in the chamber & put the lid on it and let the pump run

I think what he's asking is when you vacuum hot plastic does it grow in volume? I usually see guys do cold plastic and they put say 2 cups in a 4 cup container because the volume grows when you put a vacuum to the cold plastic.

I am confused what is a vac chamber and what does it do?

so its a chamber connected to a hose and a pump.. what you do is put desired amount of liquid or hot plastic inside and put the lid on. next youll open the valve and close off the release valve to build the vacume and then the air will start to be pulled from your plastic. it will rise up and bubbles will go from tiny to large. once they go to large youre towards the end of the process. next you could be left with a handfull of bigger bubbles then its time to release the valve and you will have virtually eliminated most of the bubbles before the cooking process
